[alt text: a series of 3 images of comedian Diane Morgan portraying her character Philomena Cunk. In all three images, Cunk is standing next to a plastic statue of Santa Claus and speaking. Across the three frames, there are captions, which say: "The good children will get lots of presents and so, it turns out, will the bad children. In fact, the only ones who won't get very much are the poor children. That's because Santa judges a child's goodness based largely on parental income."]

This is what I keep telling everybody, but nooooo... they keep believing in the imaginary benevolent being who is always watching us while we sleep. πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ

I've heard a trendy thing now is to only label one present as from Santa, the rest are from Mom and Dad. That way kids don't find out there's a huge disparity when they go back to school

We do that, but then the other parents don't and there's a huge disparity anyway.

"Santa has to bring more presents for them because their parents don't love them as much."

Everyone does get a copy of Pump up the Jam regardless if your bad or good.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 5 months ago (1 children)

But only some children get jam actually pumped into their homes.

Diane Morgan's Cunk character is wonderful, can't get enough of it.

β€œOliver Cromwell was a Member of Parliament who wouldn’t wear smart clothes and never smiled – a bit like Jeremy Corbyn. Just like Corbyn he wanted to change the country, but instead of sitting down on a train, he got off his ass and did something about it.”

Hey, sponsorship deals aren't employment, he's a sell-out not a wage slave.

Those poor children failing to work themselves out of poverty shows a moral failing on their part. /s

Diane Morgan playing the character of Philomena Cunk. some of the best deadpan British humor I've ever seen.
