It's a great concept worthy of doing. But if they were serious about it, they would do it quietly and not draw the attention of morons.

That's actually great news - languages are directly tied to identity, it's part of what gives you a sense of belonging, of being who you are and part of a community. Marginalising and threatening a language is the same as doing it with its speakers; kill a culture and you'll inevitably kill its speakers, and vice versa.

I don't know if the plan will be successful, but I hope that it does.
