Looking for a flip cover without inner case for 15 Pro ? (lemmy.world)

Don’t know if this makes sense, but I want a flip cover for my 15 Pro, without the need to put the phone into an ugly case. Just want the phone to attach to the flip cover by MagSafe. Anyone seen something like this ?

I feel like this would result in so many broken phones that most companies would not want to enter this market. Wouldn't be surprised if you could find something on Alibaba or Amazon, but I doubt it's much of a market.

You might be right. Maybe I should just stick to a sock. I don’t want to hide a beautiful phone in a ugly case, but I do need to protect it when at work

Just get a clear case then??? Like, IMO they should stop making different colors of phone and just sell colored cases. Every phone needs a case and screen protector in this day and age.

Nah, I really don't like covers, and I never used a screen protector

That's absolutely asinine. Put a clear case and screen protector on your phone.

I don’t know that they have one, but did you check Spigen’s website? They have a ton of variations

TwelveSouth used to make a thing called “Book Case” which was a stick-on at the time. Let’s see if they might launch a magnetic one for the iPhone 15?

I recall seeing some addon that otterbox made for their cases that was essentially what you want - idk how well itd work without the case but might be worth looking into

Edit: it’s called an otterbox magsafe folio, but it’s meant to wrap around a case so it’s probably gonna fit weird if you don’t use a case.

I was recently looking for a similar folio for an iPhone 16 Pro and found that Geometric Goods seems to be the only one in the field offering such leather folios. You might want to check out their selection of Folio Cases on https://geometricgoods.com/collections/iphone-magsafe-folio-cases

They offer MagSafe folio cases specifically designed for this purpose. These folios allow you to attach your iPhone directly using MagSafe, without the need for an inner case. The quality of these cases is excellent, although the price is not cheap. I've used their flip case for my iPhone 14 Pro for 2 years and am still happy with it.
