I kinda suspect that shared joy might repeat if a cancer vaccine was revealed.

We didn't collectively suffer long enough from COVID for its vaccine to be universally embraced...

I assumed this was crap. I mean they had antivaxers for the flu in what was it, 1927? Plus they can't even keep lights red now. How did they do it before computers were invented.

I don't doubt the vaccine was well received but this sounds a bit over the top.
