Plans to achieve this: Have a successful startup (none have succeeded yet). Work like a slave digging shit out of the ground for some dickhead megacorp. Design weapons for some evil company and pivot to starting my own weapons company. Get my stock trading bot to be better at playing the game it plays.
I want to be able to retire before I die. That's my only goal.
The only notable life achievement I've accomplished was the purchasing of a very small house. This was done by never having children, never having romantic relationships, never owning pets, eating inexpensive meals at home, never desiring vehicles for pleasure (cars, boats, atv, etc.), and engaging in activities with low chances of medical bills (because I'm American).
Assuming you are not particularly close to the retirement age, why would you not try to set some closer goals?
What's worth it? Travel is nice, but rare. Physical possessions lose their luster. I live in mostly isolation; there's no "Joneses" to keep up with. Tasty foods tend to be unhealthy and I'm at an age where my weight is really detrimental to my health.
So maybe a goal to stay/get in shape as it seems important to you Or you talk about living in isolation like its a bad thing (which it might not be), a goal could be to reach out. I think my point is goals need not be very big or ambitious. But more small things to work towards
And losing luster should not dissuade you, as momentary joy is marvelous
My life goal always has been being happy and I achieve it almost every day since decades.

What does happiness mean for you?
Feeling well, having fun. Enjoying the day.
Find a partner in crime and do things we enjoy together. If that means kids that means kids. If that means starting a cult in the Alaskan mountains I guess I'm starting a cult.
Jokes aside I do just want to find someone who actually "clicks" with me. I've been in many relationships, but there were always issues. Many of which were my own fault, but either way something just wasn't quite right. Obviously with each mistake you learn, but it also means I am more selective as well. There are red flags I would have ignored in the past that I now won't even get past the talking phase because I know what happens if I do ignore that red flag.
Other than finding a soulmate I just like helping others in small ways. My dream job would be like town handyman for a remote village or something. I enjoy helping others solve little problems in their lives and I grew up at the end of a long dirt road in the middle of nowhere with not much money so we had to learn how to fix things ourselves and be resourceful with what we had available to us. Now I live in a city and I mostly help people with computers and other technology issues but my real happiness comes from fixing things for people that either cannot do it or lack the knowledge on how to do it.
If I close my eyes and imagine a perfect life I'm there with a wonderful woman who is kind to me, but challenges me on a physical and intellectual level. Some big dogs. Maybe a cabin by a river or lake. Some comfy chairs around a fire pit. That sounds like bliss.
Sounds very pleasant. Reminds me of when I was in the scouts as a teen. All bunked up in a cabin in the woods, chilly air staved off by a crackling fire and blankets, folks singing songs, eating marshmallows and just vibing.
There is a certain comfort in a warm fire and being away from civilization. Especially as we lead the see increasingly technology driven lives. Sometimes it's nice to return to the basics.
My life goal is to retire from full time work before my body gives out, hopefully in my late 50s so I still have a couple decades of enjoyment. I used to have big goals, but accepting the limitations of ADHD means focusing on near future goals and avoiding things that have a high chance of long term negative outcomes.
Currently I am working on being decent at basic woodworking. Not fancy intricate stuff, just things that fit together and serve a purpose.
To answer my own question - I'd like to raise children of my own some day. To give them the chance to find their own passions and live on in a world hopefully better than my own. To share in the joys of curiosity that children have, and hopefully nurture that to remain into adulthood.
I don't know if I can achieve that. There's a lot that needs to be done to provide a stable living in this day and age - I myself need to grow, get the skills and means to provide, and also find a partner with similar ambitions.
Getting through to university was an achievement I suppose, but it feels all to easy to stumble and fail anywhere along the way. The world keeps moving, doesn't care at all if I fall off.
55m here (birthday is coming up next week so I'm owning getting older!)
Get the kids, I have two teenage boys, through University and send them off into life well prepared. At least as prepared as my wife and I can make them.
Retire before I die and at this point, I mean that seriously.
That's it. In my youth I had aspirations to be a pilot and an engineer... But my eyesight precluded me from doing the type of flying that I wanted to do. I wanted to become an EE, but made some stupid decisions in my youth and thought I could make money early, then go back to school. Turns out, to make that money you have to work alllllll the time. I actually didn't complete my degree until age 42. Really stupid of me not to stay in university when I was in my early 20's.
Things I did accomplish already:
Skydiver and attained both my "D" master license and "PRO" licensed. Though long retired from it, I'm quite proud of my time in the sky. There are a several people in the air today, because of what I taught them many years ago. They have gone on to teach others. While my impact on the sport is not as great as some, it is far more than many.
Found a life mate: Which is not something that I thought I wanted until my mid-30's when I met my future wife.
At this point, I just want to make it to old age... Well oldER without ending up in a gutter homeless.
