Summary

MI5 admitted to lying to three courts to defend its handling of "Agent X," a violent neo-Nazi informant who attacked his girlfriend with a machete.

The agency falsely claimed it never confirmed informants' identities, despite previously disclosing X’s status to a BBC journalist.

MI5 issued an "unreserved apology," but the revelations raise concerns about its transparency and credibility in legal proceedings.

The Home Secretary has ordered an independent review, while MI5 faces internal disciplinary actions. The case will return to court to reassess MI5’s role in failing to protect the victim.

Imagine going this far to defend an utter shithead who openly admitted to working for MI5 to his girlfriend, whom he brutally abused. Not only was he a neonazi piece of shit (perhaps hard to avoid when trying to spy on radical neonazi orgs), but he was also a fucking security risk.

MI5 really picked a winner to go to the mat for. /s

MI6 did the same stuff for years in Northern Ireland. Protecting known murderers because they were assets. Nothing new here.

German federal intelligence agency:

"First Time?"

Edit: Sorry, forgot to mention: There appears to be no English translation for the second link. :(
