Honda Racing Corporation President Koji Watanabe has revealed the Japanese marque spoke with “several” F1 teams before landing a works engine deal with Aston Martin.

Wouldn’t be Haas cos their relationship with Ferrari is so close. That leaves Alpine, Williams, McLaren as rest are either manufacturers or about to become ones (Audi).

True but that’s a technical partnership as opposed to engine supply. The next few years are going to look very different with Ford, Audi, Cadillac, Toyota etc all around the paddock to varying degrees.
