/c/TenFoward: Your home-away-from-home for all things Star Trek!

Re-route power to the shields, emit a tachyon pulse through the deflector, and post all the nonsense you want. Within reason of course.

~ 1. No bigotry. This is a Star Trek community. Remember that diversity and coexistence are Star Trek values. Any post/comments that are racist, anti-LGBT, or generally "othering" of a group will result in removal/ban.

~ 2. Keep it civil. Disagreements will happen both on lore and preferences. That's okay! Just don't let it make you forget that the person you are talking to is also a person.

~ 3. Use spoiler tags. This applies to any episodes that have dropped within 3 months prior of your posting. After that it's free game.

~ 4. Keep it Trek related. This one is kind of a gimme but keep as on topic as possible.

~ 5. Keep posts to a limit. We all love Star Trek stuff but 3-4 posts in an hour is plenty enough.

~ 6. Try to not repost. Mistakes happen, we get it! But try to not repost anything from within the past 1-2 months.

~ 7. No General AI Art. Posts of simple AI art do not 'inspire jamaharon'

~ 8. No Political Upheaval. Political commentary is allowed, but please keep discussions civil. Read here for our community's expectations.

Fun will now commence.

Guybrush Threepwood: "Ooo! Brass monkey!"

Disembodied voices of the damned: "that funky monkey!"

i cannot for the life of me recall anything witty or relevant to add, so I'll just say i love me some monkey island!

How appropriate. You fight like a cow.

Oh come on Worf. It's clear they're never getting a fourth movie. Let it go.

Been feeling the same about the possibility of season 4 of The Orville.

I'd given up hope. Thanks.

I don't know Orville, but I love that guy's bowling shirt.

Check out Orville. It’s Seth MacFarlane‘s homage to Star Trek the next generation, and it’s extremely good. Although it is set as a dramedy rather than just sci-fi and drama.

WHAT? Wonderful !

I don't remember Worf crawling into a tropical cocktail or ten during the wedding, but that is exactly what that looks like. Any scrap of continuity makes me so happy. Who could blame him, Deanna's a dime, he missed his window. Weddings are draining and only tequila offers solace. Who hasn't been to a wedding like that?

[–] [email protected] 12 points 2 months ago (1 children)

LAFORGE: Did you ever think about getting married again?

GUINAN: No, twenty-three was my limit. ...Worf? Are you all right?

WORF: Romulan ale should be illegal.

LAFORGE: It is.

Admiral Ross said he was going to do something about that during the war, guess he didn’t have enough pull.

He's also affiliated with Section 31. If it remains illegal and you have ties to production/distribution, they can control the market and bring in anyone involved with impunity. Would actually make for a fun sub-plot, go full CIA shenanigans.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 2 months ago* (last edited 2 months ago)

Yeah, that sadly makes a lot of sense. Stupid spook Admiral.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 months ago (1 children)

It's okay, he got Jadzia!

...oh, right...

[–] [email protected] 3 points 2 months ago

Bruh. Too soon.

How does Worf know about Kelvin Timeline? I thought it wasn’t discovered till 32nd century?

[–] [email protected] 5 points 2 months ago (1 children)

For the sake of the meme, we might imagine he spent some time there in between scenes of "Parallels".

It'd be interesting to see Kelvin's 24th century.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Okay, I’ll just accept it as silly. Cause the supernova didn’t occur till 2387.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 2 months ago

Sure, but the timeline splits at 2233, and would progress from there to the 2360s when some crossover could conceivably occur.

But yes, it’s really just a silly meme, and really only exists to poke some fun at JJ’s awesome needle drop.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Another theory. Worf found out during his meditation on Borath or whatever the Klingon monetary planet with time crystals

[–] [email protected] 5 points 2 months ago (2 children)

I think you meant monastery but yes, and it is Boreth. Borath (I doubled checked Memory Alpha for spelling) is a Vorta.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 2 months ago

Ahh the Chevy Vorta. Classic. My grandad had one in a killer banana yellow with some boss Cragar rims.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 months ago

That's it thanks. I didn't have my handy dandy pocket memory alpha on me.

Mandela Effect.
