What a terrible concept that my brain brings up from time to time.

To clarify, do you mean the guilt to be hyper active on non-pain days?

Yes, and a million other things. There's so much I want/need to do, but I'll pay for it even if I feel up to it in the moment. Also relief is so fleeting it will be gone before you know it anyway.

As someone with a partner with chronic pain I completely understand. Life experiences aren't universal and chronic pain is extremely difficult to deal with. Please try to avoid comparing your life to what others are doing (especially fake Instagram bs) and just enjoy the time you have in the best manner you can. That's honestly solid advice for everyone but especially if you're dealing with chronic pain - make sure you're prioritizing what's important to you and find joy where you can... and, as an ADHDer who has struggled similarly, but differently, with guilt and shame - fight against getting shame locked and adding to your misery with regret.

Chronic pain is one of the most brutal medical conditions to endure in life so the road will never be easy but I hope you can find joy where possible.

Thank you, and luckily I've learned to appreciate as much as I can. I've got a great family that keep me going.

I try my best, but it's a bummer to then have flares and so on and I end up hospitalized and I can't continue on what I was doing. Sometimes I just want to relax, when I felt well-being after a long time just suffering I literally cried of happiness and just enjoyed that.
