Cyclical view of history: Polybius believed in a cyclical pattern of rise and fall in empires, where states would eventually become corrupted by their own success and eventually collapse.

Analysis of Roman constitution: While initially praising the Roman Republic's mixed government as a safeguard against tyranny, Polybius later warned that even this system could be undermined by internal power struggles and corruption if left unchecked.

Signs of decline: Polybius observed signs of potential downfall in Rome, such as growing wealth disparity, political factionalism, and an increasing reliance on military might to maintain power.

Impact of his observations: Although he did not live to see the fall of the Roman Empire, Polybius' analysis of the Republic's potential weaknesses provided valuable insights into the factors that contributed to its eventual decline.

The Roman Empire had a good 500 years to go when he died. He called it. I've been looking into the fall of the Roman Empire and the parallels with the American Empire are stark. Things just happen much faster now. What used to take hundreds of years now takes decades.

US speedrun: Empire rise and fall any%

Polybius lived during the Republic era, where the consul (equivalent to a president today) would be elected to rule for only 1 year. He died roughly 90 years before the empire formed.

Why is the world structured around our interests so much?

P.S You know that's why he went after USAID, or The United States Agency of International Development... Because it was a big part of how the CIA pays for the world order that benefits America, and goes against places like Russia.

From Wikipedia:

U.S. national interests

Congress appropriates exceptional financial assistance to allies to support U.S. geopolitical interests, mainly in the form of "Economic Support Funds" (ESF). USAID is called on to administer the bulk (90%) of ESF[67] and is instructed: "To the maximum extent feasible, [to] provide [ESF] assistance ... consistent with the policy directions, purposes, and programs of [development assistance]."[68]

Going after USAID wasn't about going stopping US aid to other countries, it was about ending the American world order.

Here I was thinking that we'd get to the end of the decade before China invades Taiwan, but at the rate Trump is going China will probably be convinced that the US wouldn't intervene if they acted by next year.

The 80 year old US nuclear umbrella is the only reason we do not have dozens of countries with nuclear weapons. Now because of Treason Trump's New World Disorder, we can expect a mad scramble of dozens of countries getting nukes in next few decades.

It has already started. Poland says it is going to get its own nukes now. It's a very wise move for Poland but the beginning a terrible disaster for planet Earth.
