TLDW: Canadian bagged milk is an Ontario thing but the rest of Canada doesn't do that. (Also the video's maker doesn't like Ontario (also also the more you look at the word 'Ontario' the more the word looks like it was made up)).

The creator JJ is an absolute joke. He hates Canada with a passion and puts on a ridiculous fake accent. Don't support him by watching.

What makes you say his accent is fake? I've seen some videos, and disagree that he hates Canada. In fact he seems to be a big fan.

Not the person you asked, but a number of old videos were talking up PP and how Canada should be more like the US in varying ways (generally with regard to certain deregulation, privatization, etc.) with the caveats that: (a) I haven't seen his recent material and his positions may have changed and (b) I could be misremembering the finer details of being more like the US for the same reason of not having seen his videos in quite a while.

As for the accent, no idea. Does he love Canada? Maybe? Probably? Though his vision for what that and Canada look like may differ to others.

Of the videos that have popped up in my algorithm I haven't seen any Canada hate. If anything maybe some Mexico hate, he had a video essentially asking for a NAFTA 3.0 where we kick Mexico out of the deal so they don't drag down US-CA relations w/ border politics. But half of his videos seem to be more on culture things like food or flags. Are there any particular anti-canada vids you have in mind?

Can't comment on the fake accent though never met him. Could be an act.

My parent bought bagged milk in Alberta all the time in the 80s

I’ve seen bagged milk in Quebec but also normal (to Americans) cartons, bottles, and jugs.

I wish more liquids came in cartons instead of plastic. It's so strange to me that milk is the only thing sold this way...

Never seen plastic milk jugs anywhere but in the US and UK, I'm sure it exists elsewhere but doesn't seem like the norm. Don't think it's a thing at all here in Sweden, it's all cardboard, some with plastic caps and others without.

At this point in the US I really only see the plastic jugs for half-gallon and gallon sizes (~1.9 and 3.75 liters respectively), but the gallon size jugs are also used for water, especially distilled water like people would use in a clothes iron or CPAP machine. They also have half-gallon cartons, though, and any smaller sizes for milk have traditionally only been cartons, except sometimes if you buy milk at a convenience store like a gas station it will be in a plastic bottle like most of the other single-serving beverages.

I’m sure I’ve seen the gallon jug style in Quebec but don’t know what volume they contain, although from what I’ve seen with a lot of things when Canada went metric they just changed the labels but kept the same sizes.
