If it's part time, in the USA at least, it's common for there to never be benefits.

No access to healthcare? Sell out to the man... plot twist, it's impossible to sell out to the man when every job is part time in order to prevent having to provide benefits.

Everything is apparently a “fast paced, high pressure environment”.

If every job is high pressure, fast paced and requires a high level of independence then no job does.

They are just jobs, it’s rare that any are that deep.
