That sucks dude. I wish I knew the trick but if your body is telling you not to run on it right now you should definitely listen. It’s always better to be conservative with such a high impact sport.

Sorry to hear that. No specific tips for you, but I too have had a groin strain since January (not warming up, new shoes, running too hard)
I spent Feb lying to myself that it was a ache rather than a strain and it would go away. Come first weekend of March, half marathon race, 'realised' it's not a ache but a strain/ injury (shock Pikachu face), struggletowned past the finish line,
Since then I've committed to 3 weeks of no running, just yoga stretching and some squats stuff.
Hoping this self diagnosis will work (because I'm a cheap ass to see a PT)
