someone from the Liberal Party should run on fixing that

Fuck Trudeau for promising electoral reform and not delivering. If he had done so, his legacy would've been jubilant instead of slipping into a list of obscurity.
That's the problem though, they're happy to run on it, just so long as that's all they have to do.
laughs in american
Just be glad they're not running on protecting women's healthcare or not facilitating genocide.
If it's anything like the UK they will sabotage themselves on that issue the second they get into power
oh, they already did. Justin Trudeau ran on it, then stopped talking about it after getting into office.
Come on, it was way funnier than that. He created a commission to study electoral systems, they recommended MMPR, then he shuffled the people responsible with less enthusiastic ones, until the got so quiet that most people forgot about it.
Hahahahahahahaaaa
Reading the other comments I now understand the responce. Maybe Trudeau and nick clegg should get together for a beer
#Aotearoa #NewZealand changed its electoral system from FPTP to MMP by referendum in 1993. This means regardless of what electorate you live your "Party Vote" will help decide the govt. You get 2 votes a "Party Vote" and an "Electorate Vote" your electorate vote simply decides your electoral representation in parliament but your "Party Vote" will decide the proportional make up of parliament and ultimately decide govt which is usually a majority coalition.
