I was trying to make a joke by saying something that is certain, but saying it in a way that made it feel less than certain. I have no idea what the actual answer to your question is, but I thought I might try to be funny. I'm not feeling well. So, I may not be at the top of my game.

No, they meant leaves which is the plural of leaf.
