sometimes i ssh 127.0.0.1 to mix things up a bit.
To me it seems weird to think remote login is something unusual, having begun my programming career before the PC era. We sat at dumb terminals and logged into computers that were somewhere else.
Those terminals were part of the computer. Very long cables for keyboard and screen, but still part of the system.
