I'm looking into setting up android tv boxes or sticks for a charitable organization to loan out to people or possibly for their locations.

I have an ONN box with f launcher, button remaper, smarttube, etc.

I'd like to set that up and then when it comes back the hardware reset button can just be held down and revert to what I set up without going back to the out of the box state.

I think I'm looking for custom recovery partition or something like that.

Honestly, ONN has a $15 option at this point, I feel that loaners aren't very necessary. But hopefully someone has the answer you're looking for. More charity is always needed

I figured having the cleaner version with adblocking dns and etc. Would be better. These could be used for people going to the hospital or having to travel, as well as signboards, or presentations with older projectors and such, plus you can play some games with a cheap bt controller.
