  1. Post only links to articles, Title must fairly describe link contents. If your title differs from the site’s, it should only be to add context or be more descriptive. Do not post entire articles in the body or in the comments.

Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. 3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
  4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.

All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

That's all the rules!

I mean this doesn't look like a positive article, things are not looking good when a Republican is getting a high disapproval rating from Fox News polls. A quote from the article:

"Meanwhile, Fox News's poll showed that 56 percent of respondents disapproved of Trump's handling of the economy, while 43 percent approved. And in another blow to Trump, an overwhelming 71 percent said they believe the United States economy will go into a recession this year, while just 26 percent disagreed."

Forty-one posts in twenty-four hours?

Impressive!

[–] DonaldJMusk@lemmy.today 2 points 17 hours ago* (last edited 17 hours ago) (1 children)

Not 41 posts. Are you counting posts, comment replies, and crossposts? Even then, still not close to Microwave's post count. Do you tell him his posting numbers too? Does Lemmy have a contribution limit? Do you tell other frequent-posting Lemmy posters their numbers?

I'd tell everyone yours, but I don't keep track of your posts because I don't care.

[–] SatansMaggotyCumFart@lemmy.world 6 points 17 hours ago* (last edited 17 hours ago) (1 children)

In the twenty four hours before I made that comment you made forty one posts not counting comments.

How could you tell everybody mine if you don’t keep track?

You’d have to keep track to be able to tell everyone mine right?

How could you tell everybody mine of you don’t keep track?

I would have to keep track. But I don't, so I can't. Like I said.

Also, crossposts to other communites don't count, because it's just a copy over. Is there a contribution limit for Lemmy?

We're in the c/politics community, why do you think that giving a post count for other communities adds to the conversation in this community?

Have you had this same conversation with Microwave, who has made way more posts to this community than I have? Or user, Mee. Or user, return2Ozma?

Maybe the mods can step in and tell us if they would like a contribution limit for this community. Would you like to ask them?

No but if you’d like to check feel free :)

No but if you’d like to check feel free :)

I don't have to, because I don't have a problem with post counts. You brought it up, not me.

We’re in the c/politics community, why do you think that giving a post count for other communities adds to the conversation in this community? Have you had this same conversation with user MicroWave, who has posted more posts to this community than I have? Or user, Mee? Or user, return2Ozma?

You should just own being such a prolific Lemmy poster, Donald J Musk!

[–] DonaldJMusk@lemmy.today 1 points 17 hours ago* (last edited 17 hours ago) (1 children)

While you should give the same credit to all of the other, even more prolific Lemmy posters, Satans Maggoty Cum Fart!

[–] SatansMaggotyCumFart@lemmy.world 5 points 16 hours ago (1 children)

I’m just curious if you can get back up to one every seven minutes!

[–] DonaldJMusk@lemmy.today 1 points 16 hours ago* (last edited 16 hours ago) (1 children)

Have you asked MicroWave how many posts he makes in seven minutes?

[–] SatansMaggotyCumFart@lemmy.world 4 points 16 hours ago (1 children)

You don’t know what what means?

Sorry I’m not quite following you.

[–] DonaldJMusk@lemmy.today 1 points 16 hours ago* (last edited 16 hours ago) (1 children)

Have you asked MicroWave how many posts me makes in seven minutes? I'm not sure what point you're trying to make, or what 7 minutes has to do with anything in this thread.

[–] SatansMaggotyCumFart@lemmy.world 4 points 16 hours ago (1 children)

Why do you keep bringing up microwave?

[–] DonaldJMusk@lemmy.today 1 points 16 hours ago (1 children)

He posts more than I do, and has been posting more than me for quite some time, and I don't see you pointing out how many posts he has made. Want to explain why that is? I'm not a top poster to this community. So why are you keeping count of my posts, but not the others?

[–] SatansMaggotyCumFart@lemmy.world 4 points 16 hours ago (1 children)

How many times have they posted today?

[–] DonaldJMusk@lemmy.today 1 points 15 hours ago* (last edited 14 hours ago) (1 children)

I don't know, why don't you tell me? How many times have they posted to this community in the last 24 hours. And how many times have i posted to this community the last 24 hours. Not other communities. Not comments/replies.

Why don't you compare how many times we have posted this week? To just this community. You're the one who keeps track and feels necessary to post numbers. Because I have not posted 41 articles to this community in the last 24 hours.

Why don't you tell everyone why you are choosing me to post numbers on. Go ahead, and tell us why.

[–] SatansMaggotyCumFart@lemmy.world 2 points 15 hours ago (1 children)

Do you disagree with the fact that you posted forty-one times in the previous twenty-four hours before my comment?

[–] DonaldJMusk@lemmy.today 1 points 15 hours ago (1 children)

Have I posted 41 articles to this community in the previous twenty-four hours?

[–] SatansMaggotyCumFart@lemmy.world 2 points 15 hours ago (1 children)
[–] DonaldJMusk@lemmy.today 1 points 15 hours ago (1 children)

You are keeping count and posting the numbers, not me.

[–] SatansMaggotyCumFart@lemmy.world 3 points 15 hours ago (1 children)

You don’t keep track of what you’ve posted and where?

[–] DonaldJMusk@lemmy.today 1 points 14 hours ago (1 children)

Not numbers. Seems as if you like to keep track of how much I've posted and where, though.

I haven't posted 41 posts to c/politics in the last 24 hours. And you know it. The fact that you keep track of how many posts I post to other communities is strange. I don't know what your deal is. I don't care. From now on, keep comments about the article if you want me to engage.

Keep bothering me with this posting numbers nonsense, and I'll report you for trolling and slapfighting. Which seems to be what you want.

[–] SatansMaggotyCumFart@lemmy.world 4 points 14 hours ago

I’m not too concerned if you want to engage or not.

I’m not trolling you and I’m only trying to have a civil conversation so I don’t know how that can be slapfighting.

Feel free to report me if you believe it to be though but doesn’t it take two to slapfight?

I don’t feel like you’re slapfighting :)
