Google has disclosed ongoing work to speed up boot times for Android, in which it explicitly mentions the Pixel 10 for the first time.

Wow there are so many things that they need to fix, boot speed would not even make a list of my top 50.

Slow boot up would feature in my top 50, heck maybe even top 10 ongoing issues I have with Android, otoh

Sounds like an at least minor privacy win, for those of us who power down our phones when not in use.

The problem with powering down the phone is that when it boots back up I don't get any alarms or notifications until after I unlock it.

That's not a problem, that's the entire point. All of your personal data is encrypted and safe after a reboot until it's unlocked.
