This is at the Hemingway house. The placard says “keep off of furniture” (paraphrased) and the cat says “naw, dogg”
I'm convinced that cats were considered divine in Egypt primarily because priests had no other way to explain why these animals just straight up ignored divine mandates.
And if you treat a cat the way it prefers to be treated, it looks a lot like worshiping them.
It says not to sit. Cat isn't sitting. All good.

He is! I make sure I go to the Hemingway house at least once per trip down to key west (so every year). At this point I just hangout and pet the cats for an hour or so, I don’t bother with the tour 😂
Oof, i think that might be the only thing id be willing to go to Florida for (i am not built for any amount of sunlight or heat). Gotta pet all the kitties ❤️
Oh definitely, we go down in mid November for my dad’s birthday. Spend a week down there while it’s cool (70s-80s).
I would never do that in the summer… and at this point I’m not sure I even want to go to Florida period. Gotta play it by ear this year.
