Welcome to the discussion of US Politics!

Rules:

  1. Post only links to articles, Title must fairly describe link contents. If your title differs from the site’s, it should only be to add context or be more descriptive. Do not post entire articles in the body or in the comments.

Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
  3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Report them, block them, and live a happier life than they do. We see too many slapfights that boil down to "Mom! He's bugging me!" and "I'm not touching you!" Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
  4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
  5. No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning

We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.

All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

That's all the rules!

My point is that I doubt it matters. It’s like getting halfway down a water slide and then saying “hmmm maybe this isn’t a good idea” and then expecting to be able to get off the water slide.

The inertia behind the damage is too much.

Bernie has been fighting for us since he was dragged away protesting in what I think was the veitnam war. He hasn't flip flopped like most of our other leaders or like some pretending to be a rebel wearing sweats.

Maybe, but as I recall, it was a Civil Rights protest. I had to look it up. Back in 1963:

Edit: maybe the most based human being alive at this point.

No didn’t you see the other comments? Bernie is big Pharma… the dems are “controlled”… you should just stop voting….

Bernie my boy, they did not start listening, they started seeing. The psychos are unhinged.

It helps to have so much show for your show and tell, I guess.

Until he starts advocating for people to leave the dnc he is doing nothing but sheep herding.

If every politician was like Bernie we probably wouldn't want to dismantle capitalism so much.

Bernie should start his own party and try to convince people not to vote for the Democrats in the midterms. That would really show those nasty Republicans, if half the left voted for Bernie's party instead of the Democrats. Trump would lose power for sure then!

[–] [email protected] 6 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Only half? I'd imagine the entire left would be excited to have some left-wing representation. The centrist and right-wing Democrats only need us to make their party relevant.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago)

Unfortunately, half of the left are barely even leftists. They have the fascist belief in strategic voting, and won't commit to a change in plans until they're sure it'll work. The bastards! Those Nazis will vote for the Democrats even if we show them a better party, because they're not willing to take the big risks for the cause. They think democracy is too precious to gamble. What a bunch of counterrevolutionaries!

Needless to say, they're all anarchist posers

What is Bernie if not an oligarch? Dude has been in office for decades. "Representative" government is a complete joke.

(FWIW I <3 Bernie.)

[–] [email protected] 13 points 1 week ago (1 children)

What do you think an oligarch is

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 week ago

Close but it's not extra virgin if that is a clue

[–] [email protected] 10 points 1 week ago

You can look up his earnings.

If you’re gonna pull this shit on an old guy from Vermont you need to pull numbers and not just talk shit like a moron:

Bernie is completely owned by Big Pharma.

He is controlled opposition.

That is why he is never successful.

[–] [email protected] 19 points 1 week ago

I never comment on this site but I have to say this.

What the fuck are you talking about?

[–] [email protected] 16 points 1 week ago (1 children)

I don’t even live in Murica but even I know that is some utter bullshit. What the fuck are you on mate?

[–] [email protected] 6 points 1 week ago

I've seen this a lot lately. Apparently it's the new party lie to try and detract from Bernie because he's objectively popular. They just drop this and never elaborate.

[–] [email protected] 14 points 1 week ago

Wtf are you talking about
