It can also be useful for card stores to show their inventory online (for sale or social media).

I can see it being quite useful for a collector to scan all the cards and see them anytime they are shopping so they can see the condition of the cards they have. I collect games, and sometimes I like to update the condition of the manual, case, game, inserts, etc. I used to have a website and listed conditions, but photos would go a long way.

I could see it the other way. I wanted to build a pauper deck since some time, but going through my bulk is just too painful. This way I would at least know which cards I have. Finding them is another story though... But generally having a nice overview of your collection without having to manually add each card would be cool
