Does anyone have recommendations. I've really enjoyed Dredge and I'm not into first person in your face horror games because I dont feel like that's was makes horror great for me.
Lovecraft Mythos - Cosmic Horror
H.P. Lovecraft's Cthulhu Mythos is a shared universe far larger and more terrifying than that of humanity, where ancient, malevolent beings known as the Great Old Ones slumber in the depths of space or time. After Lovecraft's death, the Mythos has been expanded and developed by many authors, including August Derleth, Clark Ashton Smith, and Robert E. Howard. These and many other authors have helped to flesh out the Mythos into a rich and complex Dark Universe.

Ahh well... I was gonna say the OG "Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth" was fantastic. But it's an FPS. ๐
The Sinking City is really good, and 3rd person. Though I am not sure where to buy it that would go to the devs and not the garbage publisher that fucked them over.
I understand that is over and whatever store you buy it, it goes to devs.
Sunless sea is not only horror, but horror/mystique is a big part of the atmosphere. I had a lot of entertainment from that game.
If you find any, let me know. Dredge was an 11/10 for me. So good.
Edit: was looking through and saw "strange horticulture". I've heard it's a similar vibe and pretty good.
I totally agree, i even buy the DLC to have more content to play. I'll check Sunless Sea too.
I may have heard of sunless seas, but I'll definitely take another look.
Strange horticulture has a free demo. It was a pretty enjoyable combination of learning about plants and uncovering the sinister curse using a map.
Oh nice. I'm try it out. Thanks for letting me know.
You may like the old "Stygian: Reign of the Old Ones"

Interesting suggestion. The steam reviews are incredibly split about the game. Why do you think the game is good?
I have it in my library but i still didn't play it, so i can't. Sunless sea is a safer bet.
