Like what are we doing right now, planning protests weeks in advance while US citizens and kids are being snatched off the streets, and deported

Why are we being so fuckin polite

“What cards should I make?”

“Would this make a good message to protest on Saturday !”

We’re talking like an ice cream store is removing Rocky road from the menu

We are literally watching a fascist regime take over the country

Are we scared to do something?

Are we just expecting someone else to fix this fuckin mess ?

I know people will not know where to start but we need to get aggressive with this

We need unity, solidarity we need to fuckin fight

Stand for something or fall for anything

People are not being polite. People have jobs they don't want to lose, families to feed. Gong out to protest instead or resting, spending precious hours with your kid or working your second job, is a privilege not all people have.

Fuck off with your attitude.

I do not agree with OP that we should be out every day, the reason the poster says (a weekend!) is exactly so we can most easily carve out the time for this so we also have the time to just be normalish.

With that said: No, the luxury is in not having the things you would prefer doing be threatened to be taken away from you. If you can keep on living normally by all means but I’m out here hating every second being away from my daughter - but if not me, not now, she’ll pay for my mistakes later. As long as we’re all doing something I 100% agree with you

You are correct. We should also be armed, once that happens I might consider it effective enough to join.

You can effect a lot of change unarmed. I mean it's better to keep some arms on hand for the inevitable police confrontations, but nonviolent revolution done right works too.

Have you met or started a mutual aid and talked about getting a fund to back protests that are sustained?

I've been to protests multiple times a month, and it can be very draining. Holding signs and shouting for 3 hours, then I get home and I can't do anything for the next day.

Yes, Americans should protest everyday given their state of affairs, but its understandable why they cannot.
