TL,DR: The Republican and Democrat leaning areas differ greatly in brand taste and consumption style leading to two distinct market segments in the USA. Due to COVID lockdowns being adhered to more in blue states, the Democratic-affiliated one suffered more over the last 10 years than the R-one. We have yet to see if Trump fucks up both markets with his tariffs.
