Man, I hate this question not only for its personal nature but because, I mean, has the person asking me lived under a rock for a few decades? Shouldn't the onus of proof here be on the reasons for having one and no-kids be the default?

Also, it's going to create a deficit that will very likely trigger across the board budget cuts, including Medicare cuts. Likely part of the plan - all they have to do is nothing and "Oh no, the Democrats wouldn't help us cut more vital services and school lunch programs this year so the rules make it so everything gets cut! It's all their fault!"
And 40% of that group are fucking stupid and are happy with it.

It's intentional. Large media outlets are owned by the people with wealth that—if not hoarded and locked away—would help those 60% of households be able to afford a minimal quality of life.

They keep electing the two parties, as long as this happens they will be poverty level. Other option is to be money conscious
The voting system (first-past-the-post) + electoral college (DEI for conservatives who are easily manipulated by the upper class) + gerrymandering (REDMAP) make it nearly impossible for a third party to win. See Duverger's law.
