Don't be a dick.
Try not to get too bogged down in genre-gatekeeping. Discussing the "tech" credentials of some release/band is fun, but as long as it's oozing viscera, it probably has a place here. Shredbang!
Suggested (not enforced) music-posting format, mostly to distinguish band name from album/song title:
Artist - AlbumOrSong (Location, Year) (ffo: These Bands) (links)
ffo ("for fans of") and added links (e.g. YouTube, Spotify, Bandcamp, Encyclopaedia Metallum) are optional but can make it easier to check out the music you're sharing.

Side project of djent legends Mark Holcomb and Misha Mansoor.

Vocals are important to me, so I find it easy to overlook the excellent musicianship on display in instrumental projects. This week, I want to highlight that with instrumental metal I might usually pass over.
Note 1: still feel free to post whatever you like, this is just a thing I’m doing
Note 2: if you think I’m bad at identifying genre normally, it’s even harder without vocals, so some posts here might be more appropriately just instrumental prog, idk, but it’s all stuff I think is worth sharing, and it’s just for this week
