[META] I am going to go ahead and repost remaining items from the dying lemm.ee instance (lemmy.today)

This is the last day that the lemm.ee community at [email protected] is supposed to be up, and the mod, @[email protected], hasn't yet had the opportunity to migrate the old posts to the community using other tools.

I'm going to go ahead and try to finish manually posting the remainder of the content (or what I have time to do) to this community so that it continues to be available on a Threadiverse community. He may have other plans: there was reference to using PieFed's migration, an archive.is archive (which is great but isn't on the Threadiverse), and maybe a retrolemmy.com community, but at least as of now, there hasn't been a single future laid out there, so I'm going to go ahead with what I was working on to ensure that there continues to be at least one copy up on the Threadiverse. Worst case, it's redundant.

I hadn't been reposting the posts with files that @[email protected] had uploaded to file.coffee, because that image host had failed at some point and the images are no longer accessible. However, I've just noticed that on some of those posts, he included a link to source material on another host, and some of those still make the image available.

When I'm done with the other posts stuff, I'll go back and try and recreate those as well.

Okay, think I've gotten everything I'm gonna get at this point. A couple of posts couldn't be brought back, as their hosts had gone down and I couldn't find the content elsewhere, and a few were posted out of order, but most of the [email protected] post history

albeit without the comments

has been reposted to this community now.
