I don't disagree that we are bad at voting....but a lot of Nat voters didn't sign on to Act/NZF bullshit. Luxon is just so weak that he is letting the tail wag the dog.
As I have said in other threads, we need a cross bench party. Because what we have now is FPTP with extra steps.
Nat voters were all in on Trumpism. David Seymour famously invited his supporters to wear MAGA hats although as usual he was too much of a coward to put one on himself.
Oh yes, they did. It was quite clear where Nat is heading in the last election and even the one before. The shift in tonality towards Trumpism(fe Collins) and the usual nonsense in favor of landlords, anti-science and business owners can't have their voters surprised now.
