โฆ TESDA said its National Language Skills Center is now accepting pre-registration for the following language programs, which will start in August 2023.
Basic Korean Language and Culture (100 hours) Japanese Language and Culture (150 hours) Japanese Language and Culture - Level II (300 hours) Spanish Language for Different Vocations (100 hours) English Proficiency for Customer Service Workers (100 hours)
Those who successfully enter a program will attend 4 hours of face-to-face training per day from Monday to Friday. Morning and afternoon sessions are available.
A quick calculation would give us: (given five sessions per week)
Basic Korean Language and Culture (100 hours) -> five weeks Japanese Language and Culture (150 hours) -> seven and a half weeks Japanese Language and Culture - Level II (300 hours) -> fifteen weeks Spanish Language for Different Vocations (100 hours) -> five weeks English Proficiency for Customer Service Workers (100 hours) -> five weeks
Not bad, I think. Also, I think face-to-face training is better for language learning since you'll be forced to do recognition and production (not that it doesn't happen in online classes, but there's more opportunity for practice pag face-to-face sessions).
I would have availed of one of these courses (Japanese Language and Culture, then yung level II next time; or Spanish Language) if I have the time for it.
And from one of the comments in the FB post:
sa Central Office, Taguig ito.
Getting there might be a challenge, lol!
