Working in attics is horrible, but the payoff is so, so good.

I came in to ask how you ran cable above a ceiling, hehe.

I have 1st floor rooms I have always wanted ceiling fixtures in, but noooooo, I had to buy a two story house.

I mean, the answer isn't mysterious. You just knock out the drywall between the new fixture and the wall, then hang new drywall once you run the wire. Bit of work, but imo, hanging drywall is enjoyable and quite zen.

They look good. I need to re do the ceiling fans in my house because we also have canned lights and they're too close to the fans. It creates a strobe light effect. I can't stand it, but I haven't gotten around to doing it.

3. Avoid repetitive topics.

4. This is not a search engine

There are a number of content specific communities with subject matter experts who can help you.

Some other communities to consider before posting:

5. Keep it dull. If it puts us to sleep, it’s on the right track. Examples of likely not dull: jokes, gross stuff (including toes), politics, religion, royalty, illness or injury, killing things for fun, or promotional content. Feel free to post these elsewhere.
