Any resources about environmental issues in other languages? (slrpnk.net)

I am not a native english speaker but I have no problem reading articles or even books in English. Even if a person does not fully understand what is written, now any browser has an automatic translation built in. The problem is that I still cannot send such articles to my friends who don't know english at least at an intermediate level, because it simply makes it difficult to perceive the information.

Imagine a person who has never been interested in such things, never thought about such things and the language barrier as one of the reasons not to learn more about it.

So I decided to ask you about sources in other languages.

I'm search for resources on russian and/or ukrainian but all other languages are welcome!

I hope this thread will help me and you'll to attract more people to our community and bring more people's attention to environmental issues 🌿

I know some amazing portals in Polish.

One about climate: https://naukaoklimacie.pl/

Another about "nature" in general (probably "environment" would be a more fitting translation here). I even wrote an article for them at the end of my Master's (they had it go through a senior researcher later to check the quality) ^‿^ https://naukadlaprzyrody.pl/

On both of the abovementioned portals you get scientists writing pop-science, answering questions, debunking myths, etc.

We also have "SmogLab" that used to focus just on smog issues, now is overall environmental. But I think for people from outside of Poland, especially coming from places with relatively good air quality (e.g. Scandinavia, but in this comparison, even all of Western Europe), the smog part might be especially interesting: It became a bit more of a news portal, though. https://smoglab.pl/smog/

PS: I love the idea of collecting sources with different languages, I agree that with the automatic translators, one can get quite some from foreign sources.

We tried collecting some non-english speaking solar punk communities on Lemmy in a previous monthly post: https://slrpnk.net/post/13849412

I know of some in Portuguese and German, and I think there is also some things in Polish, but I have no idea about such Russian or Ukrainian speaking communities, sorry.
