In all seriousness, can we stop using memes@lemmy.ml?
edit: One helpful comment has informed me that I've been temp banned, not shadow banned. Don't know why I could still see the post, but I guess the mystery is solved. Personally, I'm not going to use their meme instance any longer even when this ban is up.
I get being frustrated that you were silenced and didn't get a reason but people, by and large, don't care about your personal beefs, and expectations react badly to complaints of not getting ups. That's a knee-jerk that people have.
In future, don't complain about votes first. Make the meme about it seeming broken or something. The majority of people who complain about votes (and find out they were banned or whatever) look like salty crybabies because most of them are.
This is a learning opportunity for being on the internet so use it that way. And then ask about this ban and clarification of rules there.

Yeah no. World is my home but all my memes go to memes.ml. cuz more people go there for memes. Memes I post here to memes.world do noticeably worse. Ain't gonna fight it tho, I like them uplemmys.
Hey I get it. Just wish we would have coalesced onto a different instance. The moderation on lemmy.ml seems both arbitrary and inconsistent.

I posted the same meme to sopuli.xyz and to lemmy.ml. Did well on sopuli.xyz, got exactly 0 responses on lemmy.ml. Mind you, I've been temporarily banned from lemmy.ml (a while ago) and have been critical of the mods there, so I suspect fuckery is afoot.

On the app you can see both upvotes and downvotes. And I don't think the meme was removed because I can still see it in my account.
That's weird I can't see the post from my end. Maybe it was deleted for some reason?? Also can't find this post in the modlog.
