I was SOOOO WAITING for the Fediverse name drop considering how MUCH they were implying this at the end of the video.

...Than let's just flood the comment section with information and links to the Fediverse and esp. Lemmy?

Oh right... Did my part!

Almost, but didn't? Why not?

I've no idea! But they did talk so much about "smaller online communities" with their "own different rules and topics of discussion". Like... how is this not a description of the fediverse!

Just a theory, but my guess is that the channel is beholden to youtube/google and therefore any harsh criticism or demonizing the platform is being avoided?

Here is an alternative Piped link(s):

nobody cares if a random influencer wannabe almost mentions the fediverse at the end of a random video.

influencer wannabe

What part of Kurzgesagt makes you say that?

nobody cares

I care. Especially when it's a channel with 21 million plus subscribers, most of which are interested in science. Science leaning individuals are less likely to be morons, don't you think? More science leaning individuals joining the fediverse = better content on it = better experience for all of us. So yeah... speak for yourself.

When I left reddit, I thought I left comments like this behind.

seeing that the post has more downvotes than upvotes, I'm not the only one who thinks this.

If the fediverse was at least mentioned in the video, I would partially understand. But it wasn't. It's just a random video posted by a fan of the creator and it has little to do with the fediverse.
