Happy public domain day

I wonder if companies like Netflix or HBOMax will cross the mouse by putting Steamboat Willie up on their services since anyone can do it freely now. Probably not.

But it's on youtube.

mischief maker

No kidding, this mickey fella seems like a dick and animal abusers, and this is actually the censored version too, which means the original is even more brutal (I think they removed the part where mickey kicks the baby pigs).

He picks up the mother, shakes the babies off, one stays latched on and he kicks him off. Then he plays music on the mother's teats.

I've been reading to much manga, I started reading the panels backwards😅. Great comic though!

Are people really allowed to use the name mickey with the mouse? I imagine Disney coming down on this comic very swiftly if not. Im sure the lawyers at Disney would find the labor comix hysterical.

Watch Steamboat Willie. The title card says it’s a “Mickey Mouse Sound Cartoon.”

Steamboat Willie was actually the third Mickey cartoon developed, but was the first to get wide release. All three prominently featured Mickey’s name.
