A "Fancy" Rabbit House (sh.itjust.works)

Made from one 2'x4' sheet of 1/4 inch Birch Ply and two eight foot sticks of cedar trim. House measures 11.5 inches wide by 24" long. Commissioned for Mia by her owner.

I wish I could make a lot of cute pet boxes like this but I have gerbils so anything that goes in the cage is gonna get wrecked. Hard to justify making them cute lol.

Yeah the rabbit house I was sent as a reference photo looked like it came out of the thunderdome with bite marks all over lol. But people want only the best for their loved ones which sometimes means bougie birch homes that are doomed to be destroyed ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ.

Thanks! The owner said it probably wouldn't take long before the nibbling began. Which is exactly why it is finished with a "board butter" mixture of Mineral oil and beeswax so that she doesn't chew on anything toxic.
