But I went at a relaxing pace.

I have a friend with a hall/barn type of thing who allows me to do it there. It's fun. He smokes joints and talks about all his cars while I do my thing. I learned not to let him touch my car or explain things to me right after he smoked one.

But I have a tougher problem right now - CO emissions are too high. Need more than a barn.

Thanks for the cast iron pan comparison, I think I get it now.

I love your openness.

Please, don't post clickbait anymore.

I like shows where the downtrodden get a deserved comeuppance (did I phrase that right?), even if I know it's just copium.

Is The Equalizer any good?

Tyrants all over the world are cheering you on, Donny! Keep kneecapping America!

Seriously, VOA must be the one American "Freedom of Speech" thing I could get behind: broadcast where press freedom is oppressed. Give the people there a choice, a second opinion.

Just like with USAID he just doesn't understand that it also means soft power. He really wants to cut down on the USA's global influence. And none of his aides is telling him what's what. That alone is circumstantial evidencve that Putin is pulling strings.

The original Drumpf. Highly responsible in the making of Donald The Narcissist. Daddy issues is an understatement.

They are just as selective with that document as they are with the bible.

Thanks. I wonder how it's even possible to char a metal.

But not American meat.

I hadn't realized this episode had been sitting on my playlist since February.

But it's a long term view on war (defense) in space, and how it's been a favorite but useless toy of more than 1 potus.

And it's even more dystopian & pessimistic than the usual tone of this excellent podcast.

President Donald Trump wants to build an American Iron Dome. He even signed an executive order to make it happen. It’s a terrible idea, one we’ve tried before, and one that will make America less safe.

In this episode, Joseph Cirincione returns to the program to detail his personal history with complicated and costly missile defense systems.

  • It all starts during a snowstorm in 1982 and with the High Frontier
  • Zombie defense pitches
  • It’s almost impossible to knock a bullet out of space with a bullet
  • How Israel’s Iron Dome works
  • Slow and hot vs fast and cold
  • Lasers don’t work, thanks Teller
  • Pitch: lasers in space. Reality: missile batteries in Alaska
  • These systems only work half the time and only under perfect conditions
  • SpaceX contracts abound!
  • A Pentagon Powerpoint slide enters chat
  • Jason’s Superman reverie, starring Gene Hackman as Lex Luthor
  • How do China and Russia react?
  • “The enemy gets a vote.”
  • The last arms control treaty
  • Ronald Reagan: anti-nuclear advocate
  • How SDI kept us from eliminating nuclear weapons
  • Anatomy of an arms race
  • AI is coming to nuclear command and control

I have wondered many times.

Of course I can always use a browser but it's overkill.

The same goes for yad or zenity, they pull in webkit which is a full-fledged browser engine, and at least yad does not have an offline mode.

I just want to look at some local HTML (incl. images) & CSS styling.

Moi, sain just sellaisen kirjeen jossa sanotaan että "internet-liittymästänne on jaettu lainvastaisesti elokuvateostoa".

Kannattaa siis etsiä neuvoa vuodelta 2022 eteenpäin; uusinta minkä löysin on dawnin artikkeli 10/2023.

Kiristyskirjeen viimeinen versio on edelleen netissä: https://holda.fi/kiristyskirje/
