Quite possible. Google is indeed clearly massaging the result, most likely according to location. I get a 3.6 score here at the time of this post.

I agree, Reddit will carry on, but this will change them. They will possibly fall from their dominant spot. Although the sheep are stubborn (I still don't understand how the people there could withstand that atrocious mobile app they're trying to inflict on all their users).
Same, I switched to Linux from Windows 3.11. It's hard going back whenever I find myself on something else. I even bought a Mac once. That didn't last long.
They're the default tool for everything.
