As someone who loves the steam deck, the verification system is a total joke and should be totally ignored. There's plenty of "verified" games that run terribly, or don't work. ProtonDB is what you should use instead.

This is completely untrue and I don't know why people keep repeating this.

I'd be interested in these! I've played all the big ones so would love to find some obscure stuff!

I was apout to suggest this, I get leg cramps semi often and this tip is a life saver.

I'm relatively new to the Star Wars EU, I've seen all the movies several times but have just started watching The Clone Wars. I've recently decided I want to get more into the extended universe of Star Wars but I'm not really interested in everything. The main things I'm interested in are books or comics that enhance the movies and/or TV Shows. I'm not really bothered If the books/comics are Legends or New Canon as long as they add context for the universe and I can head canon them into existing.

For example I'm not interested in the Yuuzhan Vong because I've been told it's not very good and It's also non canon, but I am interested in The X-Wing series because it fleshes out Wedge even if the story is non canon. Because Wedge is still is a canon character so I want to know more about him. Likewise I am interested in the Thrawn because he's an interesting villain who still exists in the new canon, despite Heir To The Empire being Non Canon.

The sort of things I'm looking to read are things that add to the movies like:

  • Rogue One enhancing A New Hope because It shows how the rebels got the Death Star Plans
  • The Darth Plagius book adding new context to the Phantom Menace
  • The X Wing books adding Character depth to Wedge in the Original Trilogy

If the story is about anyone in the main series like Luke/Leia/Han/Obi-Wan or Anakin I'm not really interested because I already know their characters and they've been fleshed out. I'd be more interested in something about Qui-Gon Jin or Darth Maul for example.

If anyone has any suggestions please let me know but please specify if they are new or old canon!

I plan to read the X-Wing Series and the Thrawn Legends & New Canon books. And I've already read the Darth Bane & the Darth Plagius books.

So apparently Henry Cavill has been cast as a variant of

The actor played villain Juggernaut in X-Men: The Last Stand, but he has decided not to reprise the role in the third Deadpool movie despite being approached by director Shawn Levy.

Quote: "Funnily enough I just got asked to do Deadpool, the new one now, and I spoke to the director and I just said it's such a drama putting that suit on mentally and physically"

"I mean it had its mental toll as well because you're in it and you can't do anything all day, you can only drink through a straw. So we couldn't strike the deal for Deadpool [& Wolverine].

"But Deadpool's my favourite movie of all f***ing time more or less. I really wanted to do it, but they didn't have the budget to put me in the suit"

spoilerCharles Xavier’s evil twin sister Cassandra Nova will be in Deadpool 3 played by The Crown’s Emma Corrin , just as fans suspected all along.

As reported by Culture Crave, the news has been confirmed via the official Deadpool and Wolverine copyright, where Corrin’s name is listed next to her character Cassandra.

"Marvel Comics has announced a brand-new X-Men wedding special celebrating the love between Mystique and Destiny.

Per Marvel, X-Men: The Wedding Special #1 arrives in comic shops late this coming May — just in time for the start of Pride Month in June. The mutant-centric one-shot acts as this year’s Marvel’s Voices: Pride anthology, featuring stories from such writers as Kieron Gillen, Tini Howard, Tate Brombal, and Wyatt Kennedy. Jan Bazaldua provides the main cover artwork. Marvel will announce the book’s interior artists at a later date."

Just a warning to hopefully stop anyone having the same issues I did. I tried editing launch settings to skip the 2k launcher on a game and it crashed. I didn't think anything of it then tried to reload the game and got an error code. I decided to play something else and got the same error code, after this none of my Steam games would launch on GFN.

Turns out if you try to edit launch settings on any game, Geforce Now will block you from launching any steam games, even the ones you haven't played, or edited the launch settings for.

The only way to resolve this is to contact them through the official support channels and wait a handful of days for Tech support to manually reset your account, then you have to re-sync your Steam account before it'll work again.

Netflix does let you add "guest" users in different households now, although It could be it just hasn't hit you yet. When they announced the password crackdown it stopped Netflix working in my second household, but we just logged out and in and we haven't been "blocked" since.

It seems for the initial debacle they blocked loads of accounts but I don't know how often they do a ban wave or if they just figured the original announcement would get more people to buy subscription's (which seems to have worked).

I've never seen a clothing store using RFID tags before but that's quite interesting technology. I've just done some reading up on it and I hope more places start using it it seems convenient and something I'd like to see adopted on a large scale.

I feel the people who don't like self checkout keep trying to push the idea that it's bad or putting people out of jobs, rather than just admitting it's convenient for most people. If i want to buy one or two items I don't want to queue up behind 5 people with a full trolley.

I've signed up for it, it's got a few books that I imported from Goodreads but I like it overall.

I think Storygraph is the best reading social media but happy to support something like this.
