I had a similar thing, sans the OTP. I ordered a few things on the 23rd, all in the same order. All were estimated for delivery today (the 27th). One item arrived on the 24th fairly early, but the rest are still due to arrive today. They were all sold/shipped from Amazon directly (not a 3rd party seller), and are all coming from the same FC/warehouse. Oh well. I got that one thing early which was nice!

Lol, I love how even the good Americans are still so into US Defaultism and can't comprehend that other countries exist.

He did this thing where he banned all comments from non-patrons. Gotta pay to comment now

Is CGP still doing that thing where you need to give him money for the privilege of leaving a comment?

Depending on your situation, a big fuck off size pair of noise cancelling headphones (or if budget doesn't allow, just headphones that looks noise cancelling), and being as absorbed into your screen as possible usually works. When I eat lunch on my own, I sometimes even furiously type out a long winded rambling and incomprehensible email to myself to make it look like I'm super busy. The people who see eating by yourself as a bad or concerning thing usually don't see treating lunch as a work catch-up hour as a bad thing

I don't think there's anything wrong with offering to sit with somebody who's eating by themselves (although I myself do prefer to be left alone while I eat, too), but Jesus Christ fucking ask first it's not hard. "Hey, mind if I sit here?". See? Done. That's all it takes. 6 words. Just expect that you might get a no, and that that's okay. Also, don't ask after you've already sat down, or while you're half sitting already

When I was in prep, my art teacher yanked my drawing out of my hands while I was still drawing then held it up to the class as an example of what not to do

Did someone try to censor "death"?

Fun fact: if one person with an iPhone is messaging someone with an android using Google Messages, and the iPhone user hasn't enabled RCS chats, any reactions the iPhone user sends will show up on the Android as a message reaction, but reactions the Android user sends will show up as something like "[phone number] reacted '😂' to 'so I bought an iPhone today...'" which is pretty funny. How the tables turn I guess

And didn't require so much gold. Unbalanced af and unrealistic tbh

Also worthwhile noting that not everybody on the English speaking internet is American ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

It doesn't matter how much trump is forced down my throat, it doesn't change shit because I live on the other side of the world. A little bit of awareness and courtesy every once in a while wouldn't go astray.

LPT: if anybody needs to but can't get through to Centrelink, go into one of the services Australia branch. If they can't fix your problem, they'll connect you to an internal number which doesn't just hang up on you.

It's fucking disgraceful that they don't even answer the phone anymore. Seriously one of the stupidest things they've rolled out. There's no ifs or buts about it, it's disgusting and needs to stop.

You can also try calling the complaints number and they can do the same thing as the branch people, but I've heard conflicting reports about this. It used to be how you had to get through, but I've heard recently that sometimes that number just hangs up on you too. But if they do answer, they'll will usually just put you through to a non hanging up number, at least if it means you won't make them do the paperwork to lodge a complaint.

Also, when you do get through, please try to remember that they're just minimum wage people doing a shitty job. They don't make the phones hang up on you, and they aren't the reason your claims take months to process, or you were underpaid, or whatever's gone wrong. You catch more flies with honey than with vinegar. You can express your annoyance to them, but abusing or yelling at them doesn't fix the problem, and won't make them answer quicker.

If you really want somebody to yell at, write a letter or email to your local MP. Or the minister for social services. Or anyone else who's penny pinching tactics caused this whole mess

Also remember you'll get through this soon, even though it doesn't feel like it in the moment

Country's fucked again!

Spoilers: no.
