I'm taking a class, and I also have Spanish speaking friends, so that help!

Learning Spanish, by the way if anyone wants to join, we have a small Spanish speaking community in [email protected]

I also try to post to [email protected] from time to time

Don't you have all of that information from the comments above?

From what I remember the main issue here is technical.

At the end of the day, your account needs to be attached to a technical entity, even if it's only an identity provider. You could imagine Lemmy instances that would only host accounts and not communities (some of them are already in this case, but more because of a lack of activity their from their own volition). For the reputation, you can indicate your alts on every of your accounts. Not the most elegant way, but there are areas where we are functioning with even more tweaks and work arounds (e.g. moderation)

Can you please maybe edit your post to explain that actually Lemmy does this? Something like [Update: it does] or something

They are on feddit.ch so it's all good. The Lemmy documentation should be hosted elsewhere, but it seems to be behind feature development, the latest ones are not explained: https://join-lemmy.org/docs/users/06-other-features.html

I guess I'll make an announcement similar to the one about instance blocking yesterday.

Seems like a lot of people have been missing on those features.

What are some goals you all are working towards? What are your hobbies that make you feel fulfilled? What’s something that makes you look forward to the (near) future?

Feel free to ask this in your own post, it seems like an interesting topic!

Account Settings, right-side "Export/Import settings"

Subscriptions, block lists and general settings can be exported and imported since version 0.19.X

Mastodon doesn't allow to import posts due to technical limitations (as it would also a security risks, anyone being able to massively inject posts into an instance):

Your posts will not be moved, due to technical limitations.

Someone posted this in a Facebook group saying they think it’s Mulder and Scully from the X Files. But this is 100% identical to Michael’s painting, and it appears to be on canvas. This might actually be the real deal.

How do you measure the economic success of a country?

By one classic measure, GDP per capita shows individual economic prosperity. But comparing countries simply by this metric doesn’t tell the whole story. To get a better idea of living standards, it helps to look at how far your money will go along with adjusting for labor productivity.

This graphic shows the world’s richest countries by three different measures, based on data from The Economist and Sondre Solstad. All figures are in U.S. dollars.

Nora and Hae Sung, two deeply connected childhood friends, are wrested apart after Nora's family emigrates from South Korea. Twenty years later, they are reunited for one fateful week as they confront notions of love and destiny.

I'll also post this in [email protected], it's a discussion-focused movie community, feel free to have a look there.

First time I hear about this movie.

A video clip of draft animation can be seen here: https://www.thewrap.com/looney-tunes-the-day-the-earth-blew-up-clip/ . Interesting to see them come back to 2D animation.

First time I indeed hear about this adaptation from the X-Men, interesting video.
