I once did rm \* accidentally lol. I now have a program that just moves files to trash aliased as "rm" just in case. I just don't feel confident moving files in CLI

Yeah I prefer fancy text editor too. And my biggest heartbreak was learning that I can't just sudo kate (there's a way to use Kate to edit with higher privileges but I never remember how, edit: apparently it's opensuse specific problem).

Born to Kate, forced to nano

I use Linux and I prefer GUIs. I'm the kind of person that would rather open a filemanager as superuser and drag and drop system files than type commands and addresses. I hope you hax0rs won't forget that we mere mortals exist too and you'll make GUIs for us 🙏🙏🙏

I wonder how much effort are they willing to put into it. The original game is quite unique with its (flawed) gameplay and I'm afraid they just want to make an easy buck on nostalgia, so they'll just slap a Kotor name on a generic tried and tested system that "works" and it won't feel like Kotor. Then they might as well make a new game set in Old Republic era.

I think the game being set in Old Republic would be enough to get people interested and it wouldn't need "Knights of the..." in the title to sell well. But that would require writing a completely new story

I'm afraid if it's ever going to be made it'll be some mediocre action game instead of proper RPG. If it end up being something like Baldurs Gate then I'd be happy, but I suppose this franchise under Disney is too normie nowadays. There used to be many Star Wars games across all genres, from strategies to racers to complex flight sims, but I don't see them doing anything hardcore but a generic action game.

For me that depends on a game. I noticed that in a fantasy game I usually pick female character and if it's more normal earthly setting (especially shooters) I go with male. I don't know why, maybe because of outfits. For me fantastical outfits look cooler on girls and military outfits look cooler on dudes.

Ghostrunner. Fast paced cyberpunk ninja action platformer. First game in like 20 years that makes me do those exaggerated "gamer moves" in my seat lol. like moving my head when dodging, wringling and gasping, haha. Ya'll might already have it since it was given away on epic games.

Works fine on Linux through Heroic launcher btw.

The only problem I had is that save files were in the wrong folder the first time I launched the game, so my progress was lost on second launch. But the files were there, I just had to copy them from save game folder to the other folder with user ID and now it works fine every time. I still don't know why that happened.
