My thoughts exactly

Individuals have the power to block instances so I don't really understand why people are pushing for defederation. Just feels like ruining the fun for everyone just because they aren't having fun and aren't using the resources they have to make it fun. Defederation should be a last resort, and people seem to want to use it for petty squabbles. I don't like .ml or hexbear cause they're both tankies, but I'll just block the instances myself. Don't get why we gotta remove the choice from everyone else. But hey, I'm on .dbzer0 so if .world wants to defederate from .ml it isn't gonna affect me any

If bullpup revolvers are heresy then I guess I am Dark Mechanicus. I love my unconventional firearms

It is exactly this. Anarchists are generally really bad at explaining their ideas in a digestible way for the average person. I myself struggle at doing it. I think most of it is what you say, and I think part of it is that phenomenon where experts in a field have a hard time dumbing things down for people cause they overestimate the amount of knowledge the average person has in whatever field. I know what this poster is saying cause I have the needed historical context and ideological knowledge to understand what they are really saying. Most people don't and read this and think we are fucking stupid, insane, delusional, and utopian idealists. Anarchists are horrible at conveying our ideals cause too many of us are dedicated to conveying our beliefs through inside jokes.

I think overall good video. However I don't like how she conflates right wing "libertarianism" and "crypto-anarchists" with anarchism with anarchism.

More like an il duce. Lenin's idea of democracy (in practice) is a lot like Mussolini's idea of "democracy." I don't think Hitler ever tried to pretend like Germany was democratic

Genuinely, fuck off fash. A broken clock is right twice a day. Doesn't mean I'm gonna recommend it to anyone. Belongs in the trash like all the other fascist and reactionary shit.

I think they are more likely to be a fash imo. They are trying to normalize a reactionary and far right texts. Fascists love to use the Unabomber to normalize reactionary ideology in leftist circles. And they always do that shit of trying to separate art from the artist like what the commentor is doing

Edit: Check their profile, they are conservative. Their username is occultist. They like the Unabomber Manifesto. The dude is a fascist not a fed.

I do not think it is unreasonable of the person to call this out. Liking the Unabomber's manifesto and saying its their favorite "anarchist" text is a huge red flag. The person being a fed or fash is entirely a realistic concern. Fascists use this strategy all the time. They try to normalize reactionary and far right texts by coming into circles and trying to relate the texts to people and cover their asses by play "separate the art from the artist card." Like what the person is doing by saying they don't like Ted but like his work. That is fascist tactics 101. Feds do similar stuff but in an effort to cause division and conflict. I think its less likely the commentor is a fed, and more likely they are a fash.
