You're giving reasons people would have had no way to know (because you didn't mention it) and acting like they should have known. Ebikes are a great solution to a lot of people. Maybe not you though -- you can still appreciate the advice even if it doesn't apply to your specific situation. I hope in life you don't take this attitude towards helpful people.
