The man attempted a coup and faced zero consequences for it. In fact, he was rewarded with a second term as president. Forgive me if I refuse to hold my breath for Democrats to do anything substantial to prevent him from wiping his ass with the Constitution.

Trump has said pollsters that have shown his approval ratings sliding in recent weeks should be investigated for "election fraud."

He's going to run for a third term. That's what this means. Buckle up, y'all. We're in for yet another Constitutional crisis that the Democrats will do exactly nothing about.

It's not that we're too busy. It's that we're too busy without purpose. What's the point of being busy when it doesn't proportionately translate to having our needs met?

We have more abundance than ever before in all of human history, and yet we work harder than hunter-gatherers just to feed ourselves, and we have less leisure time than they did. We work more hours per day and have fewer days off per year than medieval serfs. And for what? What's the purpose? So some asshole who was born on third base can buy another mansion?

I hate how many people are already starting in with conspiracy theories. She was sex trafficked as a teenager, for fucks sake. Then her whole life was dragged through the mud in public view while she sought justice. Countless people take their own lives every day under far less stressful circumstances.

She didn't know anything that Ghislaine Maxwell doesn't know, and that bitch is still breathing.

I’m just saying the whole premise of the meme is extremely flawed. It’s made to imply that modern life is in any way as bad as medieval serfdom and that is just not true.

The image is just drawing a few parallels between modern life and medieval serfdom, not implying that one is equally as bad as the other. I think the larger point that the image is trying to make is that landlording is something we should have abandoned when we got rid of serfdom.

One person's pain does not diminish another's.

Conservatives don't want you to exist. All other arguments they put forward are just soft-pedaling to that end goal.

"You might beat the rap, but you won't beat the ride."

This memo may not hold legal weight, but that won't mean much when ICE black-bags you and sends you to a Salvadoran gulag from which there is no escape and no contact with legal services.

My first thought reading the post was "what the fuck, they call off searches for humans long before 529 days." Then I read the article, and read a bit about the island. This part stood out to me in an ABC article:

Kangala Wildlife Rescue said Valerie would often drop in to the rescue site, before wandering off for days.

So they knew she was alive, because they had surveillance camera footage of her wandering through the rescue site over and over. It's not like they had search teams trekking through the wilderness for 529 days straight.

The point isn’t to convert the fascist. It’s to humiliate them

The point isn’t to make them feel humiliation

Make being openly fascist an embarrassing

Do you think about the things you say before you say them?

You can't humiliate someone who has no shame. And with their firehose of falsehoods, you'll only expose a small portion of their lies by the time they've already moved on. Nothing productive comes from waging a war of words with people who don't believe in the words that come out of their own mouth.
