- It seems to be very short notice. I know I didn't hear about it until Sunday or Monday and didn't see anything for my state until Tuesday, the day before.
- It was middle of the day, middle of the week. Many of the people who might be motivated to attend are also motivated to be employed. It was also one and done.
- The purpose of the protest seemed... diffuse? "We don't like Trump/Musk/Trusk!"
Compare with for example the Montgomery Bus Boycott. Planned well in advance to get the word out, specific in its aims, lasted for months.

You can't know but I really don't think this is a problem like you think it is. I can't think of what the benefit of doing this is. That said, yes an additional copy from an independent source would help. I like to listen to the audiobook while reading the text so it hits two senses. You could try that. Also, you can download from sources where people can and do give feedback.

I'd suggest per category rss feeds. The all-in-one feed has too much to be useful.
