Yay another LLM! That's definitely what the world needs and don't let anyone make you think otherwise. This is so fun guys. Let's fund the surveillance, stealing, misinformation, harmful biases, and destruction of the planet. I can't believe some people think that humanity is more important than another "open source" crazy pro max ultra 8K AI 9999!

Nah it's liberal propaganda. Anyways let's storm the capital

The Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs says the Madleen’s crew is being taken to Israel after Israeli commandos seized the vessel in international waters. The Madleen ship, launched by the Freedom Flotilla Coalition, was close to 100 miles [160km] from Gaza when it was stopped. The ship was carrying humanitarian aid to Palestinians starving because of Israel’s siege. Israel’s most recent total blockade began on March 2, and has only partially lifted under mounting international pressure.

I see the confusion. In this case, evaporating doesn't happen the natural way of boiling at 100 degrees celcius. Instead, these data centers mostly use things called cooling towers, where the warm water is sprayed into the air and some of it evaporates. It's not technically "consumed", because again, I emphasise that water doesn't dissapear. It instead goes through the water cycle, but this evaporating removes water from the local supply, which can be a problem in water-scarce areas.

[–] [email protected] 10 points 1 week ago (3 children)

No, they don't consume. Instead, they use it for cooling their servers. You might have heard of a way to cool a computer that is more effective than a fan called water cooling. It basically uses water to absorb the hot air from the GPU/CPU to be sent to the radiator where the water is cooled and sent back to be pumped and continue the cycle. This is called a closed-loop water cooling system. These big "AI" databases are also using water to cool the components like how they're being used in the computer, but unlike the example, it's not a closed-loop water cooling system, meaning that instead of the water being reused, it instead gets evaporated and participates in the water cycle. The problem with this is that water used in these open-loop systems is evaporated, meaning it is remove from the local water cycles, making fresh water less accessible in areas that already face shortages, so while the amount of fresh water on Earth stays the same, it becomes inaccessible to the people, which leads to the current situation where more than a billion people don't have enough access to fresh water while big "AI" databases are using over 100 million liters daily. This is only one of the alarming consequences of "AI". This however could be easily fixed by using a closed-loop water cooling systems that use renuable energy sources for the energy required to pump and cool the system. However, sadly, in our current capitalist society, the rich are too greedy and corrupt to save lives and actually help the people.

Yesterday, at 20:41, the IDF released "Urgent warning to those present in Beirut’s Dahye, especially in the following areas: Hadath, Haret Hreik, and Burj al-Barajneh, specifically in the buildings marked in red on the attached maps and the surrounding buildings. 🔸You are located near facilities belonging to the terrorist organization Hezbollah. 🔸For your safety and the safety of your families, you are urged to evacuate these buildings immediately and move at least 300 meters away from them"

20:56--> 21:07:

As seen in the images and videos I sent, this resulted in heavy displacement. People fleed their homes to stay alive, not knowing if they will come back to them or not. There was inhumane scenes when I was going back home. I saw cars parked in rows on the side of the road filled with families that have fleed their house and have no where else to go.

21:09:

IDF: "The IDF will soon carry out a strike on underground UAV production infrastructure sites that were deliberately established in the heart of civilian population in the Dahieh in Beirut in southern Lebanon"

21:11:

IDF: "Despite the understandings between Israel and Lebanon, the IDF has identified that the Hezbollah aerial unit is operating to produce thousands of UAV's, with the direction and funding of Iranian terrorists. Following Hezbollah's extensive use of UAV's as a central component of its terrorist attacks on the state of Israel, the terrorist organization is operating to increase production of UAV's for the next war. These activities constitute a blatant violation of the understandings between Israel and Lebanon. The Hezbollah terrorist organization creates challenges for the State of Lebanon and thus prevents the implementation of the understandings between Israel and Lebanon. The IDF will operate against every threat posed to the state of Israel and its civilians, and will prevent all attempts of the Hezbollah terrorist organization to reestablish itself"

21:12

IDF: We will target underground infrastructure used for the production of drones located within a residential area in Dahye

21:14-->21:16:

Isreali drones and planes have entered the Lebanese airspace, resulting in more chaos which led to an overturned truck under the Msharrafieh bridge

21:19--> 22:09:

Mock raids continues constantly A large number of residents in Dahieh have not left the area, which isn't a big surprise, since these people have already lost everything in the war when isreal was striking their houses. They stand their ground.

Israeli Broadcasting Corporation: The Israeli army classifies the upcoming strikes in Beirut’s Dahye as major and is preparing for defensive scenarios

Israeli media: The strikes on Beirut’s Dahye will be the largest since the ceasefire

Israeli Channel 14: The attacks on Dahye and deep inside Lebanon are being carried out in coordination with the US

LBC: Random threat calls have been received in several villages in the South, Western Bekaa, and Beirut, and the Army Intelligence is investigating the numbers

Ambulances are preparing for any emergency in the Dahye

Israeli Defense Minister: We will continue to enforce the ceasefire rules in Lebanon without any leniency

Jadeed: According to reports, the Lebanese Army has entered one of the threatened buildings

22:09 --> 00:07:

United Nations: We once again call for a halt to any actions that could further undermine the cessation of hostilities and the implementation of Resolution 1701

Continues Airstrikes (10 in a row)

LBCI information: A military unit headed to the suburbs and inspected a threatened building where no weapons were found

What a surprise! No weapons were found. The continious propoganda reminder of we are hitting Hezbollah infastructure and only Hezbollah infastructure turned out to be a lie. But that's not a big surprise. In the war, they were launching left and right. They didn't even bother to "remind us" that they were hitting Hezbollah. Joseph Goebbels was the Nazi politician and Propaganda Minister (1897–1945). He said "If you repeat a lie often enough, people will believe it, and you will even come to believe it yourself.", and I can't seem to escape it while living in Lebanon.

Yesterday at 23:15, our teacher said "I hope you are safe" 23:16: one of my classmates replied with "Ms, what safe?! The house is dramatically shaking. If we don't die for the strikes, then the house collapsing will kill us." He said it jokingly, but in his voice was a tone of sorrow. He's 13. So he's on the older side of things. Put yourself in the shoes of an infant. You keep hearing deafening airstrikes, the ground beneath your feet is shaking as you flee from your home with nothing other than your mom and dad (if you are lucky), and you are sleeping in a car on the side of the road while the ground continues to shake and rumble. Or put yourself in anyones shoes no matter their age. It's suffering. Mainstream media won't document it, because maybe the people will actually realise the war crimes being commited, and they will think! That's horrific! We can't have them do that!

This would be perfect just if you would put zionists in the place of isreali leaders

If she wasn't going to be participating in a genocide, then she maybe could have won

Even if you pirated, speaking about the movies will encourage other people to watch it, and they might not pirate it. It's indirect, but it could still give that transphobic doll money

"You showed the world that MIT wants a free Palestine".

“You called for a permanent ceasefire in Gaza, and you stood in solidarity with the pro-Palestine activists on campus. You faced threats, intimidation, and suppression coming from all directions, especially your own university officials, but you prevailed because the MIT community that I know would never tolerate a genocide."

“Right now, while we prepare to graduate and move forward with our lives, there are no universities left in Gaza..We are watching Israel try to wipe Palestine off the face of the earth, and it is a shame that MIT is a part of it.”

“This means that Israel’s assault on the Palestinian people is not only aided and abetted by our country, but our school. As scientists, engineers, academics, and leaders, we have a commitment to support life, support aid efforts, and call for an arms embargo, and keep demanding, now as alumni, that MIT cuts the ties,"

I can confirm this is not just in the land of burgers. Back in the war from October to December, I fleed to Germany and went to school there, and the stuff I saw where absolutely disgusting: kids were using ipads (ibads) given to them by the school, the computers ran windows on them, and every time even a single task came up, they would directly resort to artificial unintelligence. When the "ceasefire" started and I finally went back to Lebanon, most of the kids were using Artificial unintelligence to write their essays as well. I don't blame these kids, they don't know better, they don't know how artificial unintelligence is trained from the stolen work of the people, they don't know what non-free software is, and they don't know how these devices/software are tracking their every move. It's up to the school's to teach them such and schools are doing a terrible job both in America and internationally.

Agreed Thank you for your comments

I have realized a lot of posts on here mostly criticizing the data collection of people to train A.I, but I don't think A.I upon itself is bad, because A.I- like software development- has many ways of implementations: Software can either control the user, or the user can control the software, and also like software development, some software might be for negative purposes while others may be for better purposes, so saying "Fuck Software" just because of software that controls the user feels pretty unfair, and I know A.I might be used for replacing jobs, but that has happened many times before, and it is mostly a positive move forward like with the internet. Now, I'm not trying to start a big ass debate on how A.I = Good, because as mentioned before, I believe that A.I is as good as its uses are. All I want to know from this post is why you hate A.I as a general topic. I'm currently writing a research paper on this topic, so I would like some opinion.
