I agree with you

[–] FrostyTheDoo@lemmy.world 7 points 2 days ago

I said "in theory," several times. You even quoted me saying it.

Yes I live in the US. I'm not predicting anything. I was answering the question that was asked, sorry if I triggered your hate boner.

Theoretically, the citizens of the US would stop him from doing that. It's such an obvious an egregious violation of rights that (again, in theory) he would lose a lot of support over it and we'd potentially face riots and massive protests. This is probably what Trump wants though, so he and Musk have a reason to implement martial law and really take the mask off

Maybe it's the difference in Germany's behavior and allyship towards Poland since the transgressions. Maybe Russia has not acted in a reconciliatory way towards Poland, maybe perhaps they've still behaved as an adversary, while Germany has taken accountability and joined a strategic alliance against the same Russian aggression that unapologetically continues to threaten Poland's sovereignty

Yeah your grandma is the only important life on earth. Fuck all the Ukrainian grandmothers and their families whose lives don't matter at all, every tax dollar needs to go to your family first.

See I can "paraphrase" you too. Sorry for your loss.

No one is saying that except you bud.

The media outlets most likely to do that (AP & Reuters) are no longer allowed in the room for these kinds of things.

Is this take supposed to be less pessimistic?

[–] FrostyTheDoo@lemmy.world 13 points 1 month ago (3 children)

Is your point that Russia should be allowed to steam roll through Ukraine? Europe shouldn't help their allies and neighbors defend themselves? Standing up to bullies is worse than being a bully?

Genuinely curious if you even have a point to make at all. I hope I'm just interpreting you wrong.

Putin has Musk and Trump by the balls, for sure.

Give him some time. Once his cronies get everything working right he won't have to sue, he can just deny federal benefits to people who don't order a cybertuck and send their hearts out to him when they receive it.

33% didn't vote. That means 66% did vote. Of the 66% that voted half of them voted against Trump.

Now, what is half of 66%? 33% is half of 66%.

So the commenter is saying they are in the 33% of Americans that voted for Kamala.

33% Trump, 33% Kamala, 33% no vote.
