Don't conflate this with me supporting ICE or the fascio-authoritarian state.....BUT, lots of wealthy Americans are traveling to Mexico for healthcare because it's cheaper, faster, and in some cases just flat out better. I hope this is the case for the kid. If it is, she may have hit the lottery when she needed it most. They get a free ticket out of the US, potentially better healthcare, and maybe a shit load of money for the government ignoring her rights.

Another part of the deal was that House Republicans said they wouldn’t take action to remove Democratic Rep. Brad Tabke, whose narrow 14-vote win in November was called into question when election officials discovered they’d accidentally thrown out 21 absentee ballots without counting them.
Even if all 21 ballots ended up being votes for the challenger, they should and need to be counted.

I don't want Walz anywhere fucking near a presidential run. He's associated with the highest stakes loss in world history. And part of the reason why is because the biggest thing he had going for him is that he seemed awfully similar to a middle-aged dad. I'm not on board with that experiment again. Harris and Walz had one shot at it and they blew it. Sucks, but that's life. It will need to be someone completely disassociated from Harris-Walz and the current democratic party elites.
Hey, on the bright side she has an opportunity to make a sone money. Either through a potential lawsuit (doubt.) or the smarter option: oil on canvas artwork of her experience in the detention center. Her story is global now and the notoriety may boost the sale price.
