I can't find much on "ipv6 delegation mask". is there another name for it?
The router firewall can only either be enabled or disabled. In case the delegation mask is the port I can open in the UI. That's the part that's not working correctly.

My router has a setting to expose the host X with port X. The port does nothing. That's the weird part.

Why do you need to specify a host to expose it?
Why not start with an account? You do not need to run a server to be int the fediverse. It's enough for now if they've got a or multiple accounts and actively use it. Share the latest papers via that account. Provide news. Link to articles etc. That's good enough for the beginning.
It's only the perceived reliability and Tesla owners are still young in the sense that their experience is only few years old whereas you have 100 years of VW experience.
